Kenmare Golf Club is located in a magnificent sylvan setting where the cascading water of the Sheen and Roughty rivers join the Atlantic in Kenmare Bay. The course was developed over the years by a dedicated local golf architect. Eddie Hackett has suceeded in creating an eighteen-hole golf course which can be very exciting for a great player but never unfair to the weak. A real test of golf in a unique golfing environment.

Established 1895 Arnold Palmer’s first course in Europe offers a traditional links challenge, with the sea in view from almost every hole. The opening hole leads to a green overlooking the Long Strand featured in Ryan's Daughter. Below is the watery grave of the wreck onward of Swansea (1877).
