walks in ballybunion

The walks around Ballybunion are second to none. The cliff walk out to the nine Daughter Hole and around by the convent is magnificent. Seasoned walkers may like to take the signposted route to Knockamore and enjoy the vista from the top - a panorama of sea estuary and fertile plain. The walk along the beach to the mouth of the Cashen (the tidal part of the River Feale) is invigorating and it is awesome to look at the power of the Atlantic relentlessly pounding away at the brittle cliff face.
